Sounds a sensible approach to me. Glad it wasn't a high reading!

Saw my rheumy nurse today. Basically she says the priority is to get off the steroids but slowly. If, at any stage of reduction, I feel symptoms I should hold at that dose until they fade before continuing with the reduction.

This is going to be a long. A year at best if I do not slow down any step. A year++ if I have to stick at any levels.

Man oh man..........

The good news is I am getting shared care with my GP who will prescribe my meds going forwards, thus taking one complication out of the equation.

hi Paul,

yes that is a long time.

it's a shame you're in this cycle where you can't be put forward for Humira as of yet,

although i know of course steroids would have to still be gradually reduced. wonder if steroids are given as a matter of course in some area's/hospitals, they never entered the equation when i was newly diagnosed and i had a very high DAS Score with CRP/ESR high levels.

great that your GP has shared care, wonderful that you can go to him/her directly.

I always fail those tests because my joints are not impacted and my ESR is low even in flares.
